Skin type or skin condition - what is important when it comes to care

How different skin can be can be seen again and again in the ladies' toilet - which of course we only go to to "freshen up". And this ritual could not be more different. One generously dabs matt powder on her forehead and nose: "Hardly left the house and I'm already shining like a yeast braid again." her friend is still fishing for the concealer. "Be glad it's just that, I'm getting pimples out of nowhere." "Oh, boo..." thinks the third. In this cold air, your skin feels ultra dry. Cream and facial spray are her constant companions.

Difference between skin type and skin condition

There's no question that skin care needs to be type-specific. But regardless of your skin type , there are also phases in which your skin simply dances out of line. Here we are talking about skin condition. And it fluctuates depending on the hormone balance, stress, diet and of course the climate. Sometimes the finest picture-book skin tends to dry out or "blooms" in a negative sense!
If you tweak your skin care routine, you can get breakouts like that under control, too. Below you will find your skin type and links to the respective care recommendations.

Normal skin

Easy-care and good-looking - this skin type is to be envied. How to recognize normal skin:

You have...
  • Fine pores.
  • There's really nothing to complain about on your skin.

Dry skin

This skin type not only feels stressed by wind and weather, that is everyday life. Due to the lack of moisture, dry skin usually reacts more sensitively to environmental influences and cosmetics. How to recognize dry skin:
You have...
  • Often feelings of tension.
  • Red, rough or even itchy spots.
  • Fine dryness lines.

Dry AND blemished skin

You also have...
  • More pimples or impurities, but rather fine pores around them.

Oily skin

Not only does it feel uncomfortably oily, it also leaves visible traces, for example on the mobile phone display. How to recognize oily skin:

You have...
  • Despite cleaning or matting, skin quickly regains its shine.
  • Large, clearly visible pores.
  • Skin often pale or sallow.

Oily AND blemished skin

You also have...

  • Frequently pimples and blackheads.
  • Foci of inflammation with a yellowish crust

combination skin

Individual parts of the face often behave in completely opposite ways and want to be cared for in the same way. How to recognize combination skin:

You have...
  • A greasy T-zone (forehead, nose, chin).
  • Dry cheeks that may even be tight and raw.

Sensitive skin

If you suffer from sensitive skin frequently or at the moment, you will be familiar with at least some of these symptoms:

Your skin...
  • reacts often and quickly with spots, tension, redness or irritation to external influences such as cold, UV rays, stress and cosmetic products.
